Recycling at Home

This whole activity of recycling activity and using the 4r's has taught me why recycling is an important part of our lives. We have sorted out the recycling material from our school campus, we have taken pictures of before and after lunch and we have shown how we use the 4r's at home. That is how I know that recycling could affect our earth and environment that we live in. Recycling and composting is way more important than what people think, it could really change the way we live and it could affect our environment and peoples health. Recycling has taught me why it is and should be an important part in each of our lives.

An activity that we did during this experience was taking pictures of how we recycle at our homes and at Tennyson. It has shown me that recycling is important in order to have a healthy living or learning environment. Since the activities that we have done, I have helped even more in recycling at home and at school. School looks like a bad waste facility with no garbage cans or recycling bins instead of looking like a nice learning environment. Without recycling, school looks dirty and non-educational but we want a good-looking safe environment. That is why we should recycle.

We are trying to recycle here at Tennyson by getting recycling bins for every classroom at THS. Our goal is to get the recycling bins in each class so that students can start recycling and then by having them they will be helping the environment. Once we get recycling bins, leadership students will talk to every class about why we have recycling bins and what they are good for. The recycling bins will make a difference in school.By making that difference we will be helping ourselves by helping the earth.
